ETA Annual Meeting
It would appear that, in my fevered preparation, I have completely forgotten to announce something rather fun. IP Commerce has been selected to present as part of the ETA Technology Committee’s "Marketplace of Tomorrow" event.
The demonstration consists of a software application providing multi-service, tightly integrated commerce workflows into QuickBooks. I am going to save a bit of the detail until Thursday afternoon so as to not spoil the surprise for those in attendance. I, for one, am rather looking forward to the opportunity to demonstrate this workflow developed by a Software Company that has consumed the Commerce Toolkit for Applications.
The "Marketplace of Tomorrow" event will run from 1000-1200 hours on Thursday, April 17. There are several companies presenting both hardware and software solutions that are on the edge of commerce adoption. This, in my opinion, is indicative that there is increased recognition in the commerce industry that meeting merchant needs (i.e. how do you want to accept payment?) is of growing import.
As always when I attend an event, I will blog about items that are of unique interest. In addition, I’m going to be micro-blogging thoughts from the event (and presentations) via twitter this year. Due to the nature of twitter, these are limited to 140 characters but will provide a glimpse into the ETA experience. . .the most recent updates will appear in the right-hand pane of the blog or you can follow all my replies by using the link below.
If there is anything you would like me to cover, in specific, feel free to reach out through the contact link at the top of the page or through a comment.
What’s your perspective? Agree? Disagree? Anything to add? Critiques?
